Does AngelCare, Inc. Home Health Care accept: Medicare; Medicaid; Insurance Cases or VA Clients?

Medicare:
AngelCare, Inc. is a private duty agency, not a Medicare certified agency, therefore AngelCare, Inc. Home Health Care can NOT accept any Medicare clients.  Medicare does not cover custodial care or assistance with Adult Daily Living needs (ADLs).  Medicare only certifies agencies that offer skilled nursing services.

Medicaid:
AngelCare, Inc. Home Health Care only accepts Medicaid Waiver Program clients.  AngelCare, Inc. has been a sub-contractor for the Medicaid Waiver Program with the State of Michigan, since October of 2000.

AngelCare, Inc. works with the following MI Choice Medicaid Waiver Programs:

  • Area Agency on Aging of West Michigan – Region 8
  • Senior Resources and Area Agency on Aging – Region 14
  • Burham Brook Area Agency on Aging  - Region 3B
  • HHS, Health Options
  • West Michigan Long Term Care Connections
  • Care Resources of West Michigan, a P.A.C.E. provider
  • (Program of All Inclusive Care for the Elderly)

Insurance Cases
Yes, however acceptance depends on the specific insurance carrier requirements.  We work with many insurance carriers that offer auto no-fault and Long Term Care benefits.  Specific insurance questions can be directed to Deb Parker, Billing Manager. (LINK)

VA Clients
Yes, AngelCare, Inc. accepts referrals for VA clients that require personal care, homemaking or chores services as well as the Aide and Attend program.
